Do not know.

Model 702 used part #4401 frame

Model 603 used part #2878 frame

Model 704 used part #4945 frame

An extra hole would generate a new part number

I believe all of the short frame tractors until maybe 65 used all the same frame with different towers and different battery boxes and I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me could verify that the 65 and beyond short frames were the same. I know all of the short frames could use the same attachments though so they might all be the same.

Here's what I can tell you - The frame on the 1961 701 and the 1962 502, 552, and 702 are the same. Same non-cambered front axle with the flat bar tiebar and drag link, same welded-in battery tray.

The 1963 models and up have a different cambered axle, and two ball joint tierods - the mount portion is different from the 1962 models. First one with the bolt-n battery tray.

The 1963 and 1964 look identical, but most likely not (different P/N's)

I have a Kohler Magnum 8 never had oil in it, it has all the K161 dimensions and the right PTO shaft size. I'm thinking I might put it on the 702 or the 704 (li'l Red). I know I'll have to work out the electrical :o but just spit balling here on which one, the 704 is in far better shape.

The engine mounting holes are the same for all the short frame tractors. The Magnum height and length may be an issue with the hood

By now I thought you had become an electrical guru but if questions come up we are here for you.
