Scottish Wheel Horse 227 2 #1 Posted Saturday at 07:37 AM Hi all, I am new to the forum and hope somebody can help me with their knowledge. I have had a Wheel Horse 227-5 laying at the back of my garage for some years, I've decided to give it a light restoration over the winter to use around my garden. Having dragged her out of hiding a few days ago I cannot get the engine started. I have tested and am not getting a spark. As she has been laid up for a few years I thought I would replace the ignition system components to freshen her up and hopefully remedy the not starting problem. The issue I now have and require the knowledge and experience of yourselves to get to the bottom of is the ignition coil listed for the Kawasaki FC540V-BS07 engine fitted to the 1989/1990 Wheel Horse 227-5 is Kawasaki part number 21121-2059 however this part is no longer produced so is unavailable. Can anybody tell me if there is a direct replacement for the discontinued coil which I can use? I have spent many hours searching the internet but cannot find any reference to apart number of the coil which superseded 21121-2059. Thank you for any help and assistance you can offer on this matter.

This is the the candidate I was airing towards, my only concern was the engine code BS07 was not shown, only BS04. From a little digging through technical diagrams and parts lists I was concerned the BS03 & BS07 had a different coil to the BS04 model. I will order one and see if it is good for all FC540V models. Thanks again
