Michcruiser60 0 #1 Posted February 14, 2008 I've been after a guy at work to tell me the model number of his brothers tractor that might go up for sale this spring. I told him I wanted it and now I get first dibs. Problem is I don't know what it is. What I do know.. 12ph Kohler, automactic, hydraulic lift, head lights, cigar lighter, big deck w/side discharge. He thinks it's around a 1969-72 model. I'm thinking newer. Last night he looked at it and he gave me this model number. # 1-7231 It was on the serial number tag under the steering wheel column. Can anyone tell me what tractor this is and the year? I hate buying something sight unseen and not knowing what it is. Thanks, Mich60

TT-(Moderator) 1,160 #4 Posted February 14, 2008 If you run in to that situation again, just go to the Toro web site: https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?...es&xCaller=Toro Click on the "Model Search" button in the green header, and type in the number EXACTLY as it's stamped or printed on the tractor or attachment in the box where it says "Enter Model Number". WheelHorse_of_course 99 #6 Posted February 14, 2008 Mich The charger 12s are the parents to the C-120 Auto's. Many parts are interchangeable. Having the hydraulic lift is really nice. If it also has the optional front hitch you hit the trifecta! 1968 is a weird year for Kohlers. If the engine is original it may even be a magneto ignition (if not it may have a solid state ignition. And it probably has a bendix style starter rather than a starter generator. This is EASILY worth $200 with the mower deck. Quite possibly more depending on condition.
