Sparky-(Admin) 23,892 #1 Posted October 8 Ordered this hand held compressor for bike and tractor tires. I have 4 or 5 DeWalt 20v batteries which it runs on. Anyone have one? Decent? Junk?
ebinmaine 74,925 #2 Posted October 8 We have something similar but made by the Ridgid brand. Goes with the rest of our batteries. Extremely handy. Absolutely a go-to. We use it regularly. 1

squonk 44,740 #4 Posted October 8 I have one of these craftsman inflators. Also charges your wife's cell phone when she's been scrolling for hours trying to pick a restaurant.

I guess if you got a flat tire after the wife's cell phone discharged the battery on the compressor at least you could look up a roadside service provider to come fill the tire for you. 2
kpinnc 15,931 #6 Posted October 9 (edited) I've got the Harbor Freight "Bauer" version (analog pressure guage), and it has been great. I used it to pump up all 4 tires on my daughter's Jeep from 0 psi when I painted the wheels with a single battery. I take it with me on any long trip just in case I pick up a nail and have a slow leak. Obviously they are much better than even a small air tank if you have to carry any distance. Only downside is you can't dump alot of volume at once like a tank so it's not for seating beads and the like. But it's become one of my favorite tools for simplicity. OoPEZoO 578 #7 Posted October 20 Just please don't leave it sitting around with your batteries in it. Those 3rd party tools are notorious for poorly designed electronics and high leakage current. They typically drain your packs down to the point where they will be unrecoverable.
Bar Nuthin 1,601 #8 Posted October 20 (edited) I used a $100 rebate card and picked this one up for $70. They were also running a promotion for a free 5AH battery and charger with any bare tool purchase! Those batteries aren't cheap. I got the $100 rebate when they were selling the 5AH batteries for $59.99 (reg. $179.99) + $20 rebate = $39.99 I bought one for myself (I have 2 batteries in service and 3 still in the package) and bought four for my son in-law, the contractor. They currently have them on sale again for $59.99! OoPEZoO 578 #9 Posted October 20 Those Dewalt inflators are great. I have 2 myself and they get constant use. Between bike/car/tractor tires, and inflating/deflating mattresses for kids sleepovers, they are always handy. Great for stashing in the under floor storage compartment for road trips as well
