homefried1@yahoo.com 2 #1 Posted Friday at 06:20 PM I finally got the pipe loose on both ends. Talking about the pipe that runs from down in the hole between the legs when sitting on the machine, to the oil filter. Now I cant get it out!

homefried1@yahoo.com 2 #4 Posted Friday at 06:23 PM I cant see how in the world that pipe is supposed to come out! If not for the connector, I believe it would just come right out but even if I were to cut it off, how would I get the new one back on? Does anyone have any advice? Ed Kennell 42,703 #5 Posted Friday at 09:07 PM Do you have the seat and seat pan off?
Handy Don 14,415 #6 Posted Friday at 09:28 PM Firstly, wondering why you need that pipe out. Secondly, VERY concerned that you are opening up the oil path connected to the hydro when the surrounding area is so dirty. That pipe carries FILTERED oil directly into the charge pump which also supplies makeup oil to the hydro pump/motor.
953 nut 61,321 #7 Posted Friday at 11:29 PM Is this the the same GT-1800 you had another thread on, right? Seems to me you were told that the seat and fender needed to come off.

The stopping spot is shown in the 2nd picture where the pipe goes thru the frame and just above the brake band. I have removed the brake band also. I wonder if I'm gonna need to separate the rear end from the tractor.
c-series don 10,323 #10 Posted 17 hours ago Like @Handy Don said I’m VERY CONCERNED that you are taking that apart without cleaning that area first. Any work you do will be negated if dirt gets in the hydraulic system. As a fellow owner of two Work Horse GT-1800’s I’m happy that you are trying to keep yours going. Please post pictures, we love pictures! 1
oldlineman 1,577 #11 Posted 5 hours ago Yes the whole area should have been cleaned very well before attempting to remove the line. Clean area also helps with seeing the work area better.
