MainelyWheelhorse 2,089 #1 Posted September 23 Hi All, I still haven’t completely ruled out the RV K341 I have as since the C-85’s engine is blown up and it’s a mix of parts it’s a a bit of another Frankenstein. I’ll adapt it on. I went on the jungle site and looked up Kohler tapered shaft adapter. I found a few but none directly specific to Kohler. I did find adapters there to adapt the shaft to 1 1/8 for the PTO. I’ve also seen ones that are threaded to bolt into the end of the shaft and ones that have a slotted key. I’d assume the threaded one is better. I would rather not take the K341 apart to swap cranks as it’s expensive to get the right crank for a PTO/drive pulley not to mention some of the other parts too. Is there a specific Kohler tapered shaft adapter or is it a universal thing? Which one do or would you guys use? Thanks!

I used this supplier for the adaptor that I needed for my Hatz engine. https://www.ebay.com/itm/111797583847?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=111797583847&targetid=2299003535955&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9021715&poi=&campaignid=22879976798&mkgroupid=192130607908&rlsatarget=pla-2299003535955&abcId=10409101&merchantid=6426064&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22879976798&gbraid=0AAAAAD_QDh9NFg13l6AFfBE-TvfpLXMgL&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrcqAqavvjwMVsXN_AB11CAPUEAQYBSABEgKAUPD_BwE
Handy Don 14,635 #3 Posted September 23 (edited) Just a friendly FYI. In a URL, everything beginning with the “?” and continuing to the end of the string is stuff tacked on to identify and track you. In the above link, only this https://www.ebay.com/itm/111797583847 is needed to get directly to the page on eBay. I make it a practice to: - right click on the questionable links and choose “Copy Link" - open a new browser window and paste the copied link into the search box - DO NOT HIT RETURN - drag select all the tracking stuff in the link and delete it - hit Return to have the browser go to the edited link Edited September 23 by Handy Don 2
