Billob7 0 #1 Posted yesterday at 01:11 AM I’m trying to rewire the electrical system on my 1983 C105 tractor with K141 motor . Problem: I stripped the old wires and now can’t remember where the wires go 🤷♂️ I know Stupid! The wiring diagram in manual doesn’t help . The wiring connectors are not useable any longer . Ideally I’d like to eliminate all the safety switches . Only use the headlights , charging gauge ,rectifier and ignition switch. Could / would someone be able to draw a diagram showing from battery to ignition switch to rectifier and gauge to the two wires coming from the motor , lights and switch . Thank you in advance .. 953 nut 61,082 #2 Posted yesterday at 11:48 AM We discourage the elimination of safety switches, they are there to prevent injury to you and others. The electrical connector used by Wheel Horse are Packard 56 style connectors and can be purchased at GOOD auto supply stores or on-liner. I have had good dealings with Del City, they have a full line of connectors and housings. https://www.delcity.net/search/?query=packard+56 10 hours ago, Billob7 said: The wiring diagram in manual doesn’t help . If you take your time and do one wire at a time using this color coded drawing you can get the wiring done with no problem. 16 gauge wire will work for everything but the battery and starter connections.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,612 #3 Posted yesterday at 12:14 PM What type of ignition does the K141 have - battery or magneto?
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,612 #4 Posted yesterday at 03:45 PM The engine spec 29102 that Wheel Horse used had magneto ignition. Looking at the ipl see some K141's used battery ignition. We may be the only ones with an engine parts list.
ri702bill 9,697 #5 Posted 21 hours ago Welcome!! I have learned, the hard way, to take various pictures of things like wiring before I change any of it.... The cell phone makes it so easy - plus you can zoom in after.
SylvanLakeWH 29,013 #6 Posted 21 hours ago Unless it's been replaced, the C-105 came with a K241as originally.
