Jim, I wish I would’ve saw this earlier after I went out and bought a solenoid my bad. But I have a 1057 also I might look into that for that tractor. Some regulator models the A "Armature" terminal is on the bottom of the unit. There are 4 terminals on this type. A on the Bottom with Load Battery Field on the front edge. Also if your not into electrical the way some of us are. I have good luck with them and have 60's orginals that work fine. Some have a weak return to run spring. They don't work well on a 1045 or 1055 with non ACR motors. The starter draw is quite abit more when trying to get the motor past the compression stroke and rolling. Even tho the contacts are rated at high amperage they can smoke abit when trying to turn these motors over cold. Big and small block motors with ACR no problems.
