RED-Z06 2,623 #1 Posted August 30 Popped up 2 miles away, jumped in my old truck, hooked up the trailer..pulled out to the shop to grab a couple straps and brake pedal went to the floor. As rare as it is for anything decent WH to show up here...my truck absolutely let me down. 1

If 400/500s had a true freewheel we might have seen how fast one can go being towed behind a Z06 "This is lawnmower landspeed, im Tommy Knoxville, welcome to jack@ss" 1
8ntruck 8,043 #6 Posted August 31 One of my good friends in Bowilng Green was an owner of a rigging company. One lunch time I was headed out of our plant to lunch. The light turned green, I started to roll out into the intersection when I saw one of his semis heading down the hill for the intersection, not slowing down at all. I hit my brakes, the semi blew through the intersection, and I went on my merry way. A couple days later, I stopped by my friend's shop and casually asked him (gave him a little greif) if he got the brakes on that truck of his fixed, cause it narrowly missed hitting me. He replied that they were indeed broken and now fixed. He then said "would you believe that driver drove about 30 miles with the bad brakes?!" Menchoned something about a driver's seat upolstery repair as well. That left me dumbfounded and wondering how that driver had managed not to run over anybody ar anything along the way. Some folks lead charmed lives i guess.

John c 103 #8 Posted August 31 I believe I'da at least went and looked at it in another vehicle, if it was worth it made a deal, and explained the brakes situation on my truck. Then gone back to pick it up. Or something along those lines

Or something along those lines He had a line of people waiting to buy, i haven't driven my car in 2 months, its just been sitting under the cover, it was listed as sold within 20 minutes of me saying i couldn't make it there on time. This morning i pulled the car out, checked the fluids, had a soft tire, and washed it...so at least i can go places until the trucks sorted.

Cant find any leaks Pull the master cylinder and look inside the booster. If you find your missing fluid in there both the master and the booster need to be replaced. There is possibly a pin-hole somewhere as well. When I redid the lines I my Ranger I over-tightened one and cracked the flare. The pedal felt OK, and I never saw any leakage, but every few weeks the light would come on and the fluid would be low. Took me a while to find that one.
