Gravely promaster50

Wasn't really looking for a new mower but this one caught my eye. A Gravely promaster 50 from 1994. It's a big upgrade from my little Toro and the turning radius in my weird shaped lawn would be welcomed. Not sure if asking $950 for a 30 year old mower is crazy good or crazy period. I tried looking up original price but nothing is available. If any of you gurus have any insight I'd love to know before I consider this. Thanks

Test Drive it, rear steer can be hard to get used to. I had a rear steer toro with a 52" deck and it was wonky and no good in inclines.

Also, check parts availability, gravely can be tough.

I know that rear steer is indeed wonky but I drove forklift for a long time and a place I use to work had a rear steer. My property is very flat so inclines aren't a concern. As for parts almost anything 30+ yrs old is hard or impossible to get parts for and likely why he's getting rid of an otherwise immaculate machine

@RetroMower , would bet that  steering  set up is a collective ammount of  disfunction , at best , would think that  heim joints at  anguler  transfer areas , would greatly  enhance intended  action . obviousely  get after the trouble areas first , road test , what have you gained ? lost ?  gravley,s were always a solid unit , BUT  NEEDED  IMPROVEMENTS  , like any other  machine .  personally like the  earlier  model / type with the separate sulky  rider . good luck with  it , pete
