Do some measuring before hand.

I replaced 2 - 18x8.50-8 Carlisle tires with new same size tubes. Drove about 1000 feet and one went flat. Discovered the 18" tall tires are now 16" tall but the 18" tubes are still 18". You can't jamb an 18" tube in a 16" tire and expect it to last.

Upon reassembly, use talcum powder on the inside of the tire to allow the tube to wiggle itself into position when inflated...

New tube from an offshore supplier?? Do not destroy the packaging - inflate the tube about 2 days before you plan to use it. You may be disappointed to find it deflates before you need it. Return it in the original package, try again. Guess how I know.... Old domestic made heavy walled tubes are the best.

I have had good luck with Firestone branded tubes made in Korea that I bought from a local tire store.

On a side note I remember when tubes were a cheap fix - cheaper than a new tire but a far cry from the cheap they used to be - keep a few here for emergency - the jungle site has cheap tire bars for small tires broke in on the Troy Horse this year - highly recommended  over my original pinch it and do it over with pry bars and screwdrivers method :hide:
