The Kawasaki 24.5 is nice and smooth The hydro's and steering are fine. The huge deflector chute is due to wrong chute on the unit, which I will correct. I prefer a mulch kit, however, the age of the unit and the high expense isn't practical. (already paid too much!) One thing that gets me is the adjustable column. It has a series of notches, much like the deck height assembly, which has a lot of play. Finding a way to limit that would be nice, if anyone has a work around to just tighten that up please chime in. All in all, I can live with it and maintain it, hopefully my better half will utilize it! Edited August 27 by "Manic-Mechanic"
"Manic-Mechanic" 1,275 #6 Posted August 26 (edited) Little update: I found the belt covers and deflector chute no problem, oem, which is always nice. However, that left belt cover has a screw hole under the tension spring! I know not a very exciting post but it's all I have for this week! "Manic-Mechanic" 1,275 #7 Posted August 28 (edited) well, after mowing about 1/3 acre decided don't care for the steering column nor the steering in general. That and the 30 second delay on shut off probably due to the faulty components. Maybe turning off by the fuel solenoid as opposed to the normal ignition route. Going to trade over to the Cub RZT S 50, with all functioning components and a solid column. Edited August 28 by "Manic-Mechanic"
