Electro12WH 50 #1 Posted September 22, 2009 The safety switches have been disabled on my tractor. According to the wiring diagram, there is supposed to be a safety switch with four terminals. Where is this supposed to be mounted?
nylyon-(Admin) 7,880 #2 Posted September 22, 2009 To my knowledge (mostly from memory which is going by the way side lately) the 1974 C-160 (automatic at least) has 2 button safety switches. One for the brake and one for the PTO. They should be both starter interlock switches and would imagine that there would be only 2 wires each? I checked mine and it only has the PTO switch and it's 2 wires.
CasualObserver 3,411 #3 Posted September 22, 2009 I don't know what diagram you're looking at, but maybe this will help? The safety interlocks are two wire switches... and look like this... Link The clutch switch is located inside and under the frame so the clutch pedal bumps the switch when you hit the pedal. I don't remember where the PTO one mounts... been a long time since I tore into the letter series. Maybe the right side of the dash tower, behind the PTO arm? Electro12WH 50 #4 Posted September 22, 2009 Sorry, I'm using a '75 C 160 owners manual wiring diagram and it's quite a bit different than the one you show. I'll have to check for the clutch interlock.
