26wireman 0 #1 Posted September 22, 2009 I've been looking for a blade and have left my # with a few shops. One called me today with a package deal. Blade, blower, tiller, bracket, chains and WH wheel weights for $725. I really only want the blade but if its a good deal maybe. I have a 312 and he said the tiller is over 40" wide and came of a D. I think it may be too big.
Sparky-(Admin) 23,139 #2 Posted September 22, 2009 Its not a good deal as the tiller will never work on your 312. Kinda makes me wonder if the blade he's offering you isnt off a D as well. Mike.........
acedog 1 #3 Posted September 22, 2009 If these items are new, JUMP ON IT!!!!! Even if they don't fit the 312 you can sell it. My dealer that I bought my WH from in 2005 is selling me a 48in. blade still in the box fof $350.00. I think they cost around $ 700. I guess since they stop making WH he needs to make room in his shop.
bitten 134 #4 Posted September 23, 2009 wireman you can find blades for a lot less then that. if it is blower that will fit your horse and the tiller is in real good shape you might be able to sell the tiller and get the blower and blade for a decent price. kajamo240 3 #5 Posted September 23, 2009 I would have to agree. Not really worth the $725 they are asking but if you can sell the parts that you dont need, you might be able to make out ahead on the deal. I just bought a blower for $50 for my 1976 B-80 and a FULL deck for $175. Having the tiller would be pretty cool but your tractor may not be able to keep up with it. Other than that, you can get those other things pretty cheap...
kpinnc 14,589 #6 Posted September 23, 2009 Having the tiller would be pretty cool but your tractor may not be able to keep up with it. If the tiller IS from a D, then just as Mike said- it will not fit the 312 at all. The D series tillers were shaft drive and drawn with a Category 0 3-point hitch. However, if the implements are new, I would agree you stand a good chance of getting your money back. Kevin
kajamo240 3 #7 Posted September 23, 2009 Also, if they are real Wheel Horse weights, they are worth their weight in gold so you might be able to get ahead on that deal...
