fireman 1,022 #1 Posted September 21, 2009 Well thanks to Chris (WHC-125) for tipping me off, I now have one of the tractors that I had on my want list. It's all there minus the engine. Also came with a SPR-42 (I think) minus the blade. The steering is super tight with almost no play. The only drawback is someone at some point cut the hood in half. The good of it is they cut it perfectly straight and clean. My friend has already looked at it and said no problem welding it back together. This one is going to have a complete teardown. Everything stripped, cleaned, and repainted. I just need to "TRY" and find either the Clinton 1200 or Kohler K90 for it. We all know how hard that is but I will keep looking. Duke, i'm gonna bother you with some questions I have seeing as you just re-did yours. Anyone else who has any tips or hints on the RJ35 it would be appreciated also. kpinnc 14,589 #2 Posted September 21, 2009 Having seen what you did with the last RJ, that hood won't even be an issue. Looks like a good solid machine! Kevin

VinsRJ 723 #12 Posted September 22, 2009 So you are the one that got it on Saturday. I was "the other guy" who was supposed to pick it up on Friday night. The guy you bought it from sold it to me for asking price, we had even set the time for me to pick it up, but I get a call as I'm hooking my trailer up Friday afternoon resinding our deal because of your offer. Honestly no hard feeling with you but the guy you bought it from was a real scum bag. Not only did he play games with me you should have seen what he did to the original owner of that unit, it was dam near criminal.
wallfish 18,072 #13 Posted September 22, 2009 Nice score Jeff You won't have to look to far for a K90!
fireman 1,022 #14 Posted September 22, 2009 Vin, Sorry about that! He told me someone else was coming to get it but asked me what I would be willing to give him for it. I'm sure he made a nice tidy profit on it. That's the first one I have seen close enough for me to get. That's the only reason I paid what I paid for it. He seems like a wheeler and dealer. MikesRJ 558 #16 Posted September 22, 2009 Jeff, I'm gonna steal a line from Vinny, "I got that in stock". PM me about an extra Snow Blade I have laying around. I will be heading toward massive-two-sheets (sic) soon, and will have to go right through CT. Mike

creekside 0 #23 Posted September 26, 2009 VERY nice!!! I have been looking for a rj35 for years. I have a RJ 35 mower deck that would look great under it!! I gave up so I am seeling the deck. I have it listed on ebay currently
fireman 1,022 #24 Posted November 11, 2009 I finally found a K90 for the RJ35. It's in incredible condition. Doesn't look like it has been run for to many hours. Could even have been rebuilt and never used. I have a Morse-Fairbanks pull start for it. I'd love to find a Schnacke pull starter though . Anyone have one for sale .
