A 400 series should have a 1 1/8" axle. To the best of my knowledge no 400 or 500 had the smaller axles. That was in the 310 or 312. peter lena 9,309 #7 Posted August 6 small size , @Rucan like a HARBOUR FREIGHT PACKING PULLER , small size , drill or punch a very small , hole on the side wall of that seal , screw in the puller and pullout the seal , those hubs are usually frozen with rust , like KROIL for a penetrant , remove the set screw to hub days out , have it at top dead center , to hold oil , would also recommend a , BEARING PULLER type of hub puller , it concentrates pull at the hub to axel area , a pull on the axel hub outer edge is usually a cracked hub . expect some issues with this , binding rust , those hubs are cast , and crack with any side deflexion , my own experience is to , start , KROILING , many days out , with set screw backed off , and using tractor , to enhance kroil creep , pete Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
