PWL216 1,093 #1 Posted Saturday at 10:45 PM (edited) I bought what might be the ugliest bronco 14 in existence. I bought it from a guy at my local sportsman club. It was his father’s. It looks like somebody dipped it in an orange paint can. I have absolutely no need for this thing, but it has great tires and their wheel horse branded. He says it runs and I may stick a battery in there to see if he’s right. But it’s likely I won’t keep it. I have too many other projects. ri702bill 9,407 #7 Posted Sunday at 09:52 AM HACK!!!! I've seen paint on a spark plug before, but painting the dash, headlights , and exhaust is just wrong. A bit of masking tape & the Sunday Comics would have made a huge difference. Looks like the decals were painted over on the hood too.....

If that was done by a kid that thought he was doing a good job, then that’s fine. But an adult doing that is something I just can’t understand? Did an adult do that and say “Wow! That looks great?!”

squonk 43,800 #18 Posted Sunday at 03:14 PM We've all dated a few uglies in the past. This tractor was nasty. I " think" it was a Raider 14. Bought it for the AC mid grader that was on it. It had threaded rods for tie rod ends and a 80 lb. wrecking ball on one wheel for weight! Then there was this Commando 800 with the black eye the the Late Great Waldo "had to have" I warned him to get a tetanus shot with the seat that was on it! 1 3

Most of the time that coat of spray can be removed while leaving the tougher original paint in place. The citrus base stripper is weaker than the solvent stuff. It doesn't work very well on the old WH paint but it will remove it in patches if it's left on there long enough. Put this stuff on but don't leave it on for more than 20-30 minutes or it will start to work on the original paint to. Do it in sections and rinse it off with a hose
