Custom touches?

I like ideas that break away from the factory stuff. Mods that add a different look and some that add convenience. 

I seen this 520 on marketplace and liked the red rim on the front. Kind of a throw back to the red stripe tires. 

The gas tank is a killer idea. Sure would add miles to the mowing before a refuel.

That gas tank is a Wheelhorse Implement option.

I believe it adds 5 gallons.

My top add ons:

 

Marine bulb

Front / Rear LEDs

Winch for plow blade (2" hitch)

HF lift for back end (2" hitch)

I wonder if that auxiliary tank might keep the carburetor filled eliminating the need for electric fuel pumps and primer bulbs.  Of course the tank would need to be kept filled and one would then worry about the float needle being perfect.  I considered buying one of those tanks since I need to refill when mowing, but the thing would always be in the way and make filling the original tank a pain.

I think Wheel Horse offered an auxiliary gas tank at one time.  I wonder if that is one?

Really helpful on those days where the other half is super cranky and you need to get far away out of griping distance - for a long time.....

I could drive all the way to the gas station and back with that.

Me too. Everything I have is modified and not one machine is 100% factory correct. Very few of my attachments are unmodified, and most are complete fabrications. 

 

And let me say I love Wheel Horse equipment. It's just rare to find complete machines here that aren't chopped up already. I've always had to do the best with what I have. 

 

Sorry for posting the same old pictures. I'll get new ones when it isn't 102 degrees with 80% humidity. At 10:00 PM last night, it was still 89 degrees here. It's bleeping warm!

Did up an adjustable assist spring to help keep the underside of the seat from rubbing on the toolbox fenders on the 854 8 speed. Mounts to the existing C shaped seat spring holes in the Unidrive...

Speaking of custom touches, My 308 has an Auxiliary tank under the seat. So in addition to the engine mounted tank. It has under seat mounted one too. I haven’t tested the range yet.
