Lewis837 0 #1 Posted July 13 Hi All, My brother in law passed away a few years ago and my sister has asked me to help her pass on his Wheel Horse to a good home. I've read the forum notes on finding the model number tag but can't for the life of me find it. I think it probably would do better in the classifieds if I could list the model number, so any help would be appreciated. Posting pictures of the tractor, serial number label and engine tag in hopes that it will help! Let me know what model it is and if you think someone might be willing to purchase it. Thanks! Chris G 3,356 #3 Posted July 13 (edited) I would say it's a 1963 model 753 by the looks of it Edited July 13 by Chris G
oliver2-44 10,734 #4 Posted July 13 7hp Kohler, So definitely 7xx Ribbed front grill, so not a 701 Period correct rear tires, maybe front to It will find a good home here! Wish it were closer!

Pullstart 66,826 #6 Posted July 13 7 hp Kohler K-161 engine, starter generator, 1962 serial tag. 702 is my vote!
Chris G 3,356 #7 Posted July 13 (edited) I was saying 63 because of the adjustable setting for the lift arm. But after looking closer it does appear to be a 62 and earlier front axle. So someone just added the later adjustable lift setup. Because it also has a 62 or earlier fuel tank. 63 would have been two piece tank with a dash plate attached and not a cast- plate attached to the aluminum tank. Chris G 3,356 #8 Posted July 13 The serial number you have in photo shows up in the manual section as a 702.
Lewis837 0 #9 Posted July 13 I was guessing 702 so glad to see I was in the right ballpark. The unit runs well and the mower deck also is functional. Bonus item it has a snow blower attachment. No idea how to hook that up but everything on it seems functional. Also an International Harvester dump trailer you can see it in the background. Should make a nice set up for somebody. Lewis837 0 #10 Posted July 13 Oh and some mystery items! Maybe for the snow blower?
Chris G 3,356 #11 Posted July 13 (edited) The piece on the left is a lift flflag, lift piece for the snow blower. The third piece is the backrest bracket. Edited July 13 by Chris G 1
ri702bill 9,448 #12 Posted July 13 (edited) is it a 702?? Me thinks not. The Dial-a-height is 1963 and later. A 702 had the 2 stop quadrant. Cambered front axle with 2 tierods are 1963 and later. The 702 had one drag link and the connector bar.- that is what I see. Early 753 ???? That is a high serial number.... Could possibly be a "FrankenMutt" too... squonk 43,843 #13 Posted July 13 Probably a tractor put together with a 702 steering tower and the dial a height and front axle components added from a newer model which is pretty common and easy to do.

oliver2-44 10,734 #19 Posted July 14 (edited) That IH trailer looks like an early one that is also on collectors list. Edited July 14 by oliver2-44
ri702bill 9,448 #20 Posted July 14 I scored a NOS snowblower like yours a few years ago for my 854. New, never used. But I DID have to do modifications to it before I used it..... I added an upper chain idler and a longer chain to give more "wrap" on the welded-on auger sprocket. Look at yours - there are only three teeth engaged with the chain - very easy to strip the teeth. Later ones have the two idlers. The two OE driveshaft bearings are of a fixed, not floating design in a rather flexable sheet metal box. Weny with the floating kind - no issues.
