I've just become aware of the Kohler L181 liquid cooled variant. It got the gears turning. What is your positive input?

Those Wheel Horse decals are photoshopped into the pics. Look at the rope in the second picture.
Internet is full of inaccurate and “scam type” pictures and information.

It is intended to be a brainstorming type thing. Not factual. Not yet anyway.

I was just pointing out that the pictures were manipulated.

I think Kohler motors have been used on swamp boats in the past.

Sometimes you gotta throw stuff against the wall and see what sticks. :handgestures-thumbupright:

IDK but......if they did the machines would be way to reliable!

My experience with boats over the years is they always need something repaired.

Model A (pontoons / awning) is still a go, for a single L181.

Model B can't be done while maintaining the spirit of Kohler. I thought about 3 connected with pulleys. But the belts would not hold them in phase / sync. A thru shaft inline setup would be possible, but multiples would just be way too heavy.

Ever see any L181's lying around?
