Snapped the little claw on throttle lever assembly that holds cable. Any idea on fix or replacement?

I.rigged something up but it doesnt go get to full rpm and the lever slowly creeps back to idle. Any ideas?

Thanks

Perhaps a small fuel line clamp will get it done.

A picture  would help us better understand what broke.

That is what I was thinking about when I suggested a small hose clamp. Run the clamp around the cable conduit and the piece of steel sticking down and tighten the snot out of it.

I once attempted to brave the conduit to what was left of the bracket but the conduit became brittle and broke off a few weeks later.

The nearby metal is already compromised so a simple patch-up isn’t likely to work. I think you’ll need to replace the entire control or at least the last inch or so of the holder.

if you can fabricate a copy of the end with the clinching jaws, you can attach it to the existing control with a couple of small bolts.

Easier to weld a piece on but you can bolt a piece on too :twocents-02cents:

You can find all kinds of small brackets at the hardware store to modify

Sometimes the easiest thing goes unnoticed lol. Thanks thats what am doing. Was thinking about brazing a piece of tube on than crimping it but thats much simpler
