Good morning everyone is there a video available on changing the governor gear on the motor I don’t want to blow the motor and I can’t find anything on it about the pushrods or how to remove the timing gear to get to it and install it back

What is your engine doing?? Is the governor just out of adjustment?

Only one way to change the governor gear on a Kohler K-model engine. You have to disassemble the entire engine. It is the last thing removed and the first thing installed.

The Kohler manual does an excellent job of walking you through tear down and build up.

Is there a spring on the governor or ball bearing in it. I’m asking because there is no spring on it and no ball bearings in it also just want to make sure it is good before I put it back in
