whb100 6 #1 Posted Sunday at 09:31 PM I'm having fun with my new to me 1977 B-100 with a 42" mowing deck. Really looking forward to learning more her. I've been mowing with it for about 3 months now. Runs better after changing the old rotten gas lines. She mows well enough but would benefit form a set of new blades. Any recommendations on where to get a set of 3 and possible part number? Thanks for any tips and information. 1
parsonsponyz 190 #2 Posted Sunday at 09:50 PM Glad to have another new member to keep the interest alive. It would help to have a model number/deck size/discharge to get the correct blades.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,409 #3 Posted Sunday at 09:58 PM Welcome to Red Square. Does the center holes of the blades have a 5/8" x 3/4" double-D center hole? The 1977 deck was the last year to use these unless the spindle assemblies were updated. The next deck has 3/4" center holes in the blades. You could have an older or newer deck than 1977. They all fit. Click on the fuzzy pictures in the links for more info. The first is rear discharge and the second side discharge.
whb100 6 #4 Posted Sunday at 10:04 PM Thanks for the welcome. I'm not sure if it's an old style spindle hole or not. Haven't pulled them off yet. Numbers on the frame 10K801-15028. 7098 Deck is side discharge and numbers as best as I can make out are 5-42MS02-18133 7103

whb100 6 #6 Posted Sunday at 10:15 PM gwest_ca, are you saying that the blades with the round spindle hole will work on both early and lat model decks?
953 nut 59,462 #7 Posted Sunday at 11:29 PM Your deck takes the later model #106077 blade which is readily available. The manual below is for your mower deck. 1

No they will not work. Was just a way to help you identify the deck but you have the model number so not needed.
