Mn520H 9 #1 Posted June 20 Hello, I have a new to me 520H (a 1996 model 73502) and during cleaning I noticed a tube from the intake manifold was disconnected. It looks like it had been glued on by the previous owner. Everything works on my tractor other than the vacuum gauge. What does this part do? I believe it is Toro 94-1836 If this is the correct part number it looks like I cannot get it from Toro anymore. Does anyone know where I can get an OEM replacement? lynnmor 7,788 #2 Posted June 20 The switch in the photo is connected to the bottom of the air filter housing with a vacuum tube. It turns on when the air filter gets too restricted. That hose is heavier than it needs to be and breaks the nipple off the switch. One of the vendors in the vendor section has the switch, or it can be repaired by adding a plate with a nipple over the switch. You should have an another vacuum hose, attached to the intake manifold near the carburetor, that runs to the horsepower (vacuum) gauge.
Mn520H 9 #3 Posted June 20 Hi lynnmor, Thank you for the explanation. I'll see who has the part available in the vendor section and see if I can repair the one currently on my 520H.
lynnmor 7,788 #4 Posted June 20 Good, just don’t operate it unless you plug those hoses so dirt doesn’t go in the engine. They aren’t needed to use the tractor.
