D-160 48" Snowblower Manual

Recommended Posts

Daniel2803

I'm looking for a copy of an installation manual for a D-160 48" Snowblower. I have the parts manual, but that does little to help me install/remove this behemoth from my tractor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your "fuzzy" picture! Lol! My problem seems to be two-fold here. I don't have direct access to the upper pulley. My model ( a D-160), was produced in 1980, and those had the grill assemblies that were solid, granted they were grills, but bolted to the frame and part of the hood assembly as well. There was no front panel access. Additionally, does that front assembly where the tensioning spring for the snowblower gets mounted, it's bolted to the frame as well. I assume that gets unbolted so the mounting apparatus for the lawn mower can sit there?

I downloaded a bunch of manuals tonight and one thing I've noticed is that they're not very helpful or detailed with supplying the owner with any useful information to hooking up and using and of their implements, not like my old John Deere or Kubota was

The only operator manual we have for this snowthrower is the one linked above.

You grill will come off yours is missing a couple knobs.  Just put your fingers in the slots and lift up then pull the bottom out.

No, it's not missing any knobs. The guy I bought it from, for whatever reason, decided to cover this area with a thick piece of luaun which I removed and will be filling those holes in my restoration of the tractor.
