Clevis questions-conduit and cable

Recommended Posts

Red_Texan

All,

I recently purchased the WH tiller and am working on getting it attached to the 310. My question is this; the tiller was taken off of a hyrdo WH so I purchased the SHORT clevis and straight conduit  for my manual set up. Included with the tiller was the clevis lift cable. I am curious if the cables for the short and long clevis are different or if I can run the included cable with my new short clevis pin. I cannot test/trouble shoot yes because the parts are shipping out next week from WH parts and more. I would like to make changes to the order before it ships if possible. I have attached links to the exact parts I have purchased for reference. Thank you,

B

@ RED- TEXAN ,  like HITCH PIN CLIPS , on my rear  frame levers , also push them all the way thru , to the last big hole ,? you won't loose them , that way , another thing with any cabling , I use chain and cable aerosol , makes any cable , more supple and retains lubrication to enhance slide and stop rust , NAPA has MACS , aerosol , pete

@Red_Texan I don't know that actually I understand your question or have the answer, but if you're asking about the length of cable, all 300 series have the same bell crank and probably use the same lift cable. I suspect that the difference in the length of clevis would make up for the difference between the straight and curved tubes. To be sure though, you might want to measure the length of the cable you have and call Lowell Monday and ask. He'll tell you what you need to hear.

The 300 400, and 500 series 8 speed tractors used the standard  cable with the short clevis,. The long clevis is for Eaton Hydros and uses the same cable.
