Wheelhorse#1 1,794 #1 Posted Wednesday at 03:44 PM (edited) 79 C-101 Pretty much finished up my first and probably last try at restoration , sure is a lot of time and work but fun. The 10hp was just too far gone so opted for a k301 gen start with out shaker . I did a shade tree rebuild on a couple yrs ago. Just needs a decent set of rear tires ,I’ll look for those at the big show coming up. Now time to put it to work ! Pullstart 65,631 #5 Posted Wednesday at 09:27 PM Looks great! Did you remember to include the exciter bulb on the starter/generator set wiring to make it charge? I like that!

Motor only has a few min run time but the gen is working though. I’ll have to find the diagram and correct that. Thanks for all the compliments. This board and everyone here has been a great help with getting it done. Edited yesterday at 12:44 AM by Wheelhorse#1 1

I like that! Interesting information. I didn't know that bulb was a requirement. I thought it was just an indicator of yes or no.

It won’t work without a little boost of energy, with resistance. I don’t understand it, but I know it needs to be there.
