The attention to detail in the parts illustrations always impresses me.

The curved pedals first show up in the 1996 illustrations of the 312-8

Don’t know, but my 95’s had the older style so it is after that.  I think 96 they started with the full mat.

Ok, 96 or newer 312-8. I got it for $150. Deck is too far gone.. i think! There’s deck holes in the top, front and back! I knew the guy that had it, and the only thing he used the tractor was lawn mowing. BUT.. at least it’s got a 12hp magnum! I got a 312-8 and a 418-8 from father and son. You’ll have to wait on the 418-8, (which is the one ive been searching for!!)

What does the C stand for in 418-C?

Commercial

No bells and whistles and a heavier front end plus they go a little faster than the average tractor.

It is defined a little faster, not by a lot, but noticeable.
