New seat for my 416-H

I'm hunting for a new seat for my 416-H

Everyone seems to recommend the black talon one and a few other universal ones on ebay.

BUT measuring my mounting bolts, they won't fit without modification.   Seems mine are 7.5" wide side to side, and 8" wide front to back.   Everything I'm finding out there is 7.5x7.

EDIT:  It seems to 4xx and 5xx tractors had this bigger bolt pattern..

Its been years now but i used the same seat on a 312 and 416.  Ill try and run it down

LMS2002 seat.  Its not a high back but its easy to mount the tractor with a lower seat, to me.

Contact one of our vendors here, K&B Horse Parts, he has seats for sale.  He's listed in the classified section of the forum.

I used the KM 125 Uni Pro from “tractorseats.com”. Has the 7.5x8 bolt pattern needed. They also have the seat switch available.

You could always go old school. It wasn’t a bolt on deal tho. Took some work to retain seat adjustment slides and everything but well worth it

Thanks.  I ordered the vevor listed above actually.   It caught my eye because the width is adjustable.   It came with slides, but they are not as nice as the original ball bearing slides.   They are just metal on metal.

I haven't fitted it yet, because upon disassembly I found one of my U shaped springs broke.     I have a parts tractor I'll rob the seat bracket off of.    Both are 1994 models, but my parts tractor is a 416-8.   I noticed the seat bracket actualy has coil springs under it and the switch mounted in the bracket.    Mounting points seem to be a bit reinforced but should still line up.   Guessing this was a newer design possibly?

Interesting, both of my 416’s have the U spring, the 8-speed is a 2005.  The part on the bracket depresses the switch on the rear pan, with the U brackets, there is an insert in the seat itself for the safety switch. On the Vevor, are the slides removable and still mount up to the Wheel Horse brackets?

@Tonytoro416  could not help but notice your paint stage , nothing sarcastic  intended , but done  a lot  of paint recovery at that stage . like a penetrating oil soak down  , clean oiled cloth to enhance , rub in / detail . let it sit for days , till the paint , looses the wet look , then oiled cloth rub down , again let it get a paint effect look , then a 6" electric palm buffer , with a paint cleaner wax , if it pulls out  it will look clean / deep . clear  paint . regularly rub down my  3  horses , with lubrication , perfect  era look , also use mothers  back to black , cleaner , like a stiffer seat spring , for support , go  clean , pete
