23 Reo 235 #1 Posted June 4, 2025 (edited) I am replacing a very old outside oil filter gasket on my Onan P220. It's the gasket that is placed between the oil filter and the cooling tin. Do I just slide it on to the oil filter and push it until it rests on the tin? A picture would be very helpful. Edited June 4, 2025 by 23 Reo

You are correct. If you have an oil filter that is a bit small, it may not stay in place. I use only Onan 122-0800 or Fleetguard LF3339 filters. 1 2
Ed Kennell 45,575 #3 Posted June 5, 2025 If your grommet is dry and cracked, replace it. If your filter is too small, wrap it with a layer of duct tape. 3
