Anyone have any insights/experience using the Kohler Magnum M16s engine, single cylinder -- spec # 711554 considering as a replacement engine? thanks, Bill

I have 5 (?) K series 16 HP  and one Magnum 16.

The HP rating and torque are identical.

As Paul says the ignition system is improved on the Magnum engines.

These are -  IMHO  - at or near the best single cylinder engines made.

Extremely reliable.

Monstrous torque for the size.

I'd run a fleet of em.

My understanding is that they're also easy to get a couple extra HP wrung out of them.

I transplanted one into my C105 several years ago. Great running engine.IMG_1032_Original.jpeg.214b5b469218aaa8b2f3924b3cda9167.jpeg
