For an engine find a Tecumseh HH60 or a Kohler K161 or k181. The K181 is probable the most common and easiest to work on.
You can find used parts and parts tractors on Marketplace. Also Google “A-Z Tractor Parts and Wheel Horse Parts and More”.
Also to the Members Map tab at the top of the page. Zoom in and find members near you. They may have some used parts to sell.

The original engine was a Tecumseh HH60. Personally I would put a Kohler K161 or K181 in it, like stated above. Easier to find and find parts for.

If you have the rear rocking slot hitch, a cable connects it to the center lift handle. These cables are still available. https://wheelhorsepartsandmore.com/product/3931-wheel-horse-reproduction-lift-cable/

They did make a snow blower and a front blade that will fit your tractor. the manuals post above will show all the implements.

You can add weight to the front. Load the front tires with fluid, add front wheel weights, or fab a bracket to hang weights in front.

Dual wheels can be added using a kit like the picture below. Plus another set of rims and tires.

Welcome!!

There is a great attachment interchange chart at the beginning in the Implements and Attachments section.  You have a "short frame" tractor, the earlier implements fit best.

Wheel weights, front & rear with rear chains is the way to go for plowing. Pictures would be helpful...

IF you have the early style cast iron 3 bolt rear hubs, I advise NOT to go with dual rear tires. OK though with the 5 bolt steel version....

You can also just cut 12" pvc pipe and use regular bolts like this:

I’ve been restoring my own 653, if you need any parts, ask.
