Magnum M16 pto oil seal replacement

Recommended Posts

Oily Charger 10

I was running the engine on my wheel horse charger 10 when suddenly it started to fling a little oil everywhere around the pto side of the engine. I am certain just the seal went bad and its not much of an issue. Even with the large oil leak the engine didn't seem to care and would run normally (I did not run the engine long after the oil leak).

I am just wondering if I can use the pto oil seal from the kohler magnum MV16 for my M16. I can't seem to find a seal for my Kohler magnum M16 anywhere. I am aware that the MV16 is the Vertical shaft version of my M16. What can I do to get my wheel horse back to normal? I can provide pictures.

4703207s  Oil seals look like they are available ebay and other sites.

Looks like the guys have you fixed up.

May I suggest you remove the PTO, then run it to confirm the location of the oil leak.

Tell us a little about yourself and your Horse

Wow! Thanks for the help guys! I can confirm that it the oil seal went bad…

It just went backwards for some reason. I could just put it back but ima replace because it’s probably original.
