Why change it when it works so good, and can double as a drink holder and sweat band!

I could never understand how anyone could buy a new 520-H and let it deteriorate like most of them do. I was fortunate to have bought a 1991 520 back in 2002 from the original owner with low hours and it is by far the most comfortable and do any task tractor that I own to this day.  Good Luck with it Tony.

I agree with you, I bought my 1994 416-H new in 1993 and it cost over $5000, not sure how someone could buy one new and just neglect it.

Since people are in large part irresponsible, manufactures learned to market disposable lawn and garden equipment and not cater to the minority that might give a rat's patootie.  That's why we can't have nice things.

I recall buying home computers for $000s that had far shorter lifespans even when well taken care of!

Oooooh, don‘t remind me.....

i wish i have now all that Money, i invested in the 90-ies in Computers.

Shure i learned a lot but the money was wasted with each generation you bought.

That‘s based of the rush development of new economic in the late 80-ies and

in the early 90-ies the massive growing of a gaming scene.

Felt everybody believe they needed the ultimated „speed computer“ - it becomes like an addict - what was one of the reason for extremely quick dropping prices and massive depression on the company to bring continousely improoved Computerparts.

You be quick aside of the game if you didn‘t have permanently the newest machine - out of discussion and out of the game..

another big advance was their flexibility for customised builds. For office purposes or for graphic purposes or even hardware tasks like CNC machining.

compared with Tractas

Tractas was more just a in time use object.

here on my site they wasn’t  a status symbol compared with Computers.

few bought them and had no idea why,

they just bought it because the neighbout had one, so you must be up to date.

i see same here with Garden Robots, in nearly each garden such a robot rides arround,

but not each garden is well in shape.

you can see on the Robots if the Owner had it for lawn care or just to have it.

it‘s their money, but imho a sadly waste of ressources.

like we said here it‘s „casting pearls before swine“
