953 nut 58,998 #4 Posted May 15 The 1.1814 inch measurement would be the area where the main crankshaft bearings and engine oil seals meat the crankshaft on both ends. The maximum wear for this area would be 1.1811 inch. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,358 #6 Posted May 15 If I remember correctly all the Briggs and Stratton and the 8hp Kohlers have a 1" diameter crankshaft for the pto. All others have a 1-1/8" crankshaft diameter. The only difference is the inner race/sleeve bearing for the needle bearing in the pto to match the pto diameter. The Raider name was last used in North America in 1972. It did continue for the export market till at least 1977. No ID plate up high under the dash panel? Should have the model number and serial number on it. We consider models made in Belgium as export models. We may be able to determine the year using the serial number on the engine.
