PTO friction removal?

Has anyone gotten the friction material loose from a PTO clutch before?  Any advice worhout smoking my shop up would be appreciated!

I have grenaded some of them off after heating up from slippage. (Contact and belt) 

Heat it up and the adhesive should let go.

I ended up chucking it up in the vice and running a slow and controlled 8” sawzall blade down the disc and cleaned it off the steel.  A little work rubbing it between my boot and the shop floor polished it right up!
