gt14rider 942 #1 Posted May 6 Hi everyone, I have a question about a sleeve hitch, I have a picture of an brinly hitch adapter. Would like to know if this adapter and a sleeve hitch will support the weight of a york rake . It weighs 180 pounds. The hitch is on a 856. Thanks
1968Commando 163 #2 Posted May 6 It would work but it’s gona be pretty light in the front end I would think
Achto 29,346 #3 Posted May 6 Chiming in to hear others opinions. I would believe it would do just fine providing that the rake is as close to the tractor as possible. The farther behind the tractor, the more stress there will be on the hitch. 1

gt14rider 942 #9 Posted May 6 That tractors name is Christen. She tried to hert me , did a wheelie up a hill and rolled over on me, 3weeks in the hospital. Week later tried to buck the mrs, did a wheelie though the garden, mowed a row green beans. So I added some weight, can add or remove the weights
gt14rider 942 #10 Posted May 6 Thanks for the reply, have to check the scrap pile, make a short bar adapter and check the cable is good. Cleaning up the york rake and I think Christen will have a new job.
