Morning,

looking at getting a standard 4 bolt boat seat for my 856 Wheelhorse.. would this fit without much modification or drilling? Seller asking $10.00 each for these brown boat seats.. says not new but good condition

Excellent price.

Mounting would obviously depend what's under the seat for bolt spacing.

It's possible you'd have to make an adapter plate or drill holes.

This was my Dad's, he just bolted some 2x4 pieces to the seat and the fender.  :occasion-xmas:

Not having full foot rests like a C series to give you a good place to climb on & in (or out) will be a challenge due to the very high seat back.

Did something very similar to an old Craftsman rider using a fixed back bucket seat from a Vega Panel Wagon. Not pretty, but functional....

The seats I picked up do fold down .. so hopefully that makes it easier to mount dis mount

Got them both. $20 total. Now to clean them up.. maybe some simple green and water, elbow grease

Nah, today I went to look at a garbage truck for one of the shops I work with. That was a MAF issue.

And I just finished working on the rototiller, that was someone leaving a drill bit in the main jet kind of issue.

Would simple green be a safe option to clean up these seats without harming the material? Better recommendations

I'd try windex first. Likely less aggressive.

FL you may find it hard to get on and off with those high back seats. Just my :twocents-02cents:

Actually, my seat folds down. I can fold it down and then straddle it and lift it up behind me.  Those seats are comfortable to ride in.  :occasion-xmas:
