T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,569 #1 Posted Wednesday at 09:40 AM Ford sold a line of compact tractors from 1973 to 1998. 1992 or 1993 is when they were being marketed as New Holland Ford after Ford sold their ag line to Fiat. These tractors were all made by a Japanese company, Shibaura. Hp range from 12.5 to 44 hp, with tractors weighing from 1200 lbs to 4100 lbs. Most of them were either 2WD or 4WD.
c-series don 9,463 #2 Posted Wednesday at 10:27 AM My father in law had one of those with a loader on it, a 2120 I think? They were good for turf work. With turf tires there was minimal compaction. I installed several lawns with it and a Brillion seeder on the 3pt. Simple, dependable tractors.
Skwerl58 751 #3 Posted Wednesday at 01:53 PM I picked up a 1995 Ford gt85 this past fall. It is a Shibauru produced hydro tractor. It has an 18hp Kohler, power steering, pedal control and hydraulic lift with 48" shaft drive mowing deck. This is a great tractor that I am impressed with. My brother has a JD 5 series about 5 years old and he was impressed with the power and handling of it. I am using it as my basic mower .
