hi men,

working on an old bronco14.  got it running and changed the white plastic cam plate for the tranny.  tranny is leaking atf from the seal/shaft area where the cam plate attaches to.  any idea what that seal number is?

thank you in advance for any help.

regards

mike

There are 2 O-rings.  (#52 and 55) You will probably need a 12pt 1/4" socket for the screws holding the plate on (Some use a socket head you wil; have to look)

O ring Dash # 116 and 026  ( I Use 026S)

I have them... PM your address will send them to you

thank you paul,

i will pm my address.

i  'borrowed' the white plastic cam plate from a wh sundstrand hydro tranny that was already out of a tractor.  i then took all the stuff off to get down to just the shaft. (such as #49 and 53) etc etc.   now i knew what it took to get down to the leak.   i fear i will have to remove the tranny from the bronco to fix the leak. have you ever done this and still had the tranny in the tractor?   as you know it is a very tight space in that tunnel!

thank you

mike

Some people have said they did it with out splitting the tractor.  I guess i am not agile or smart enough.  I have always had to split the tractor.  Did the one you disassembled have 12pt bolts or allen socket head?  I have seen both.  Hope the leak has lubricated the shaft so #53 slide off.  I had one that was stuck that was not fun.

the spare tranny i took apart had 3 allen socket head bolts holding number 49 on.   number 53 slid right off.      what looks near impossible without splitting the tractor is getting number 54 (roll pin) out.

thanks again

mike
