Tommy G 0 #1 Posted Monday at 02:34 PM Good day, Hauling firewood on a 5 degree day last January I noticed a hesitation moving forward on my 312-A. The hydrostatic trans has been strong especially for the age and hours. Small job finished, I put it away for the rest of the winter. Started it last week in much warmer weather and still the hesitation. Checked and noticed the trans oil container is about 3/4" low from the maunal required 1 3/4" from the top edge of the container. It says to use Straight 20 weight but I can't find it anywhere. Is there a suitable substitute to top off the container? Should I drain the rest of the trans oil and fill it with new? Thak you for your time
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,254 #2 Posted Monday at 06:49 PM Welcome to Red Square The lube charts say to use 30 detergent oil which may be a later revision. Click on the picture in the link and then the 2nd and 3rd pictures are from the lube charts.
