Doubletrouble 10 #1 Posted September 14, 2009 :scratchead: I just noticed yesterday,(never said I was bright) that the 2 pullies on my PTO are different sizes. It's a double pulley but the one closest to the engine is larger than the one on the outside. Which one do you use for which accessories? Will my mower blades spin faster on the larger one? Thanks to all who reply.
travisg84 1 #2 Posted September 14, 2009 I only use my 312 to mow but I use the larger pulley, it does make the blades spin faster. My dad runs a tiller with his 315 and if my not mistaken he still runs that on the bigger of the two. The smaller pulley should make more torque though. bitten 134 #3 Posted September 14, 2009 Inner groove- mower, tiller Outer groove- snowthrower, leaf vac, generator, loader and so on. Most of your equipment manuals will tell you what groove to use.
Doubletrouble 10 #4 Posted September 15, 2009 Thanks Travis and Bitten. I did look in the manual but didn't see it in there. I'll look again.
