Wdbtchr2 0 #1 Posted April 17 Has new fuel system, coil, etc. compression runs 119# both sides. Oil pressure runs around 40# when it is running. Any ideas as to what the problem might be? Thanks
nylyon-(Admin) 7,574 #2 Posted April 17 When it stalls, is there excess fuel in the carburator throat? Have you verified the float level is correct, the float is not full of gas and the needle valve is in good condition? You mentioned new fuel system, but not sure what all that entails. Wdbtchr2 0 #3 Posted April 17 New shutoff valve, fuel lines ,fuel pump, filter. Haven’t checked float level or seat and needle. Will do that. Anyone know the float level measurement?
Cee245 823 #5 Posted April 17 Lots of possibilities, but I had a similar experience with my 416H. Long story short, I found that the pickup coil located under the flywheel went bad. It kept acting like it was a fuel issue, when it wasn't. There is a procedure to test this in the manual. Search manual section for a 416H with the Onan is Model #73423. The procedure should be the same on all P216G motors. All you need is a meter. 1
