C-161 Rockshaft

I'm putting in this rockshaft and it seems sloppy. Is it supposed to be that way or are my Fender posts bent?

Might be the camera angle but it looks like the left side is bent out...

When you install the fender, aligning the bolts holes should draw it together.

I'd try to straiten the one side , use the fender pan as a template. Less likely to want to pull the other side toward it & have to fight threading the bolts in.

Can you measure the distance between right on top of the trans and compare at the rock shaft?

If you have the plastic fender, you will have better luck holding it together switching to the metal fender.
