Horse ID

I rescued another Horse this weekend and am attempting to identify.  I think it's a 701 but want to make sure.  The serial number fits in the 701 range but I'm no expert.

:wwp: please. 701 has double pulley on flywheel, and a double wide s/g belt cover. Has a hood with no vents in front. Rear fenders have support brackets that come up at 45 degree angle from seat spring.

Also, there is no indent for the model ID on the belt guard. Rear fender ends are "pointed", there is no parking brake or sheet metal guard. All those changed in 1962.

Well, it was a rescue so it's not all there and I definitely don't need another Horse but to save it from scrap and for the price it had to gallop home with me.  Here's a quick pic I took of it.

No doubt it's a 701 and a very nice example. Apparently the lift quadrant was upgraded somewhere's along the way. :)

The RJ style steering wheel says yes, but it looks like a later 2 piece gas tank..... the slifter would have been a straight one, and yes, it has a 1963 or later adjustable quadrant...
