Mudrig150 394 #51 Posted 4 hours ago Bit of an update: 1210 is gone. It's been sitting outside for 3 months and I ended up selling it, mainly because I needed money and I was never going to do anything with it. 4 tractors is already too many for what I do, and 5 is overkill. Diesel's been in a bit of a weird spot for a while now, I successfully did some dirt work with it and it handled it no problem, but while I was plowing the garden with it when it suddenly died like the engine locked up, then it wouldn't restart until it cooled off a bit. Hasn't done it since, but since that point, the starter's been acting up. It's doing what the old one did: it won't spin the starter gear unless you line up the flywheel by hand so that the gear can just go out and engage the teeth without rotating at all. Extremely annoying and makes me hate running it, really. Other than that I've just been cleaning it up. The 1912 has had the mower deck put on, but of course, it hates life. The column decided to start leaking power steering fluid everywhere which required a tear down and reseal, and of course it still leaks after being put back together. The main pressure line going into the column cracked after being forced back straight (all the lines got horrifically bent during shipping) so it leaks like a sieve now and will need replaced. Anyway, I got the deck on and decided to test it out, ran like crap as usual and then it decided to throw the driveshaft in the middle of the yard after about 20 feet, and then it threw the belt after fixing that. It's currently sitting because I have no idea where to go from here, the tractor still doesn't have a battery because there's literally nowhere to fit one and I don't want the battery to be mounted outside the tractor, and my plan of using it as a mower for the heavy brush got ruined because the deck only lifts 1/2" off the ground, it can't get the deck wheels off the ground even with them all the way up, despite the mule drive almost hitting the steering lines. I want to take the diesel to the steam show but it's not looking likely, both it and the 1912 are currently on backburner while I work on other things.
