The toe is set properly. The diesel cubs have issues with steering being heavy, it's not uncommon for the steering boxes to start ripping apart from the added stress. The original steering box was actually pulling the bolts out of it when turning to the right.

Mudrig150 349 #29 Posted 6 hours ago Test fit of the cast rear after a thorough cleaning, inspection, and internal swap. Housing came from my old 1250 transmission, I pulled it from the tractor when I did a ported pump swap (swapped the entire transmission from a 1650 in), then dumped it in the scrap pile. Never would've thought that 5+ years later I'd be using it for something. The pump was totally trashed, rusted solid from sitting with no freewheel valves in it, but the rest was surprisingly fine despite the obvious water line showing that it had like 6" of rain water in it at some point. Guts all got swapped and I am frankly surprised how smooth it went, despite it being a garden tractor transmission casting. Usually people use a 982 transmission casting from what I've seen. Afterward, I went searching for patina'd bolts and ended up finding all but 2 that I need: of the 7 rear cover bolts I found, 2 are slightly too long. Had to use a bottle jack to shove the frame rails back apart after the previous owner bent them lifting the tractor frame and the 250+ lb deck up by the unsupported back end. Rims got cleaned up nicely since they were coated with greasy dirt from the relief valves leaking. Once gaskets and seals arrive I can finalize assembly and measure my driveshaft length.
