bell 11 #1 Posted September 11, 2009 I made the trip to Kokomo, IN after work Wednesday morning, to pick up the free 603 that cadetpwr (dieselhorse) had posted on MTF... When I got there, I noticed that it wasn't a 603... but a 604. Not a big deal, it was free!!! Here it is! It's all there, but is VERY rough. The transmission is locked up and the hood is VERY thin in places. The engine is also locked up. So, the question was, "where to put it?" I had an idea about piecing together that rusty 500Special and putting it on the roof of the garage, but the wife shot that down. Maybe she'll approve of this....? Now, it's right outside the door... in case I ever need any parts off of it, or I may need another project someday... Thanks again Mike!!!! :scratchead:

Kelly 1,028 #3 Posted September 11, 2009 I like it, I've been toying with the idea of putting one in the rock garden.
Don1977 604 #4 Posted September 12, 2009 Now you'll have to put a roof over it. You can't leave that horse out in the rain, and snow. :scratchead:

Red Iron 1 #6 Posted September 12, 2009 I like that idea, had a lawn ornament, a froze up roundhood on a platform. Well, that little decoration attracted attention of one of our members, which eventually led to getting my current 1054. I no longer have that ornament. Rollerman 290 #10 Posted September 12, 2009 Pretty cool Jon. If I had more room I wouldn't mind seting up something like that myself. In the Elkhart area there are a few RJ as lawn ornaments & I know of a Pond walk behind mail box holder. :scratchead:
Gerry w 2 #11 Posted September 12, 2009 I like the idea of a small roof, maybe hang the tractor with some chains to get it off the ground, you could possibly place a small sign there as well. What's with you guys and these "free" tractors!!???
whfan74 2,015 #12 Posted September 12, 2009 Great idea! I always like the conversation pieces. It is going to become envious of those that are sitting in the garage! You might just have to spruce her up some day. :scratchead:
