876wheelhorse 46 #1 Posted September 6, 2009 On my 2 tractors i would like to see some pics on how to mount it so it dont float. What i am using is a piece of chain. I would like to make it a solid piece of metal that away the plow doesnt float. I want it so i put it all the way down it stays all the way down. pics are welcome. I am sure i have the long plow and there was a different for the short frames. let me know
qd-16 14 #2 Posted September 6, 2009 This is the piece that is on my shortframe snowblade. Its one inch wide and twelve long. Do you have the assembly that bolts onto the back axle that the plow hooks to? Some plows could be used on both short and long frame tractors, there will be two sets of holes on those instead of one. 876wheelhorse 46 #3 Posted September 7, 2009 Yeah Al I have the bracket for the plow to go on the rear axle. I borrowed one off the 876. Simple to make one so that is what I am going to do. That way I can put the plow on whatever one I feel like running that day lol. I made a piece tonight to raise and lower it. It is kindof what you have. I have a piece of angle Iron that I have to bolt to the plow then hopefully it will work. Made it at my friends house he even made me weld the bracket to the angle iron. i told him i'd just take it to work by that time the welder was out. thanks for the pick on what it was suppose to be
