Deck for 312-8 WH?

Hi wheelhorsemen, I have a 312-8 WH that has a pretty beat up deck.  I need the smaller deck (37"???) but do not know if they all interchange or not.  I would like a rear discharge.  Any info would be appreciated.  Thanks

A small rear discharge deck would be a 36”. The 37” deck is a side discharge. 
  All of the garden tractor decks made from 1973 and up will work with your 312.

My advice: place a wanted ad in the classifieds here and include your location. 
  I’m a big fan of the 36” RD decks! I run one here often.

The 37" deck needs the 6" front wheels  If your 312 has 8" front wheels with 16 x 650 x 8 tires the right front wheel will hit the deck as the 37 deck is angled to the front..

@Ozz  agree that the deck will work , its all the related , movement  functions that are critical . first bottom side look , is it crusty / rusty ?  baffling  loaded with build up ? blade condition ? how easily do the spindles . blades move ? deck looks complete , could still need a refresh , rotational movement issue , rough , usually indicates bearing issues , if deck belt is frayed , heavily  worn , probably related bearing issues . then again you might luck out , not as much as possible , for use . let us know . pete
